It’s a spooky, steamy weekend as temps climb to the 90s and Halloween arrives early
- Friday afternoon give your kids’ costumes a test run with a Halloween party at Café Bambini. From 5-6pm, enjoy party games, prizes and live entertainment. Best costume wins a prize. $10, $5 for siblings. Call 305-944-1566 for details.
- Saturday morning head to Books & Books Coral Gables for some family-friendly theater as Actor’s Playhouse brings Alice in Wonderland to life. From 11-12 pm enjoy the show then hit the café, Archie’s, Bijan’s Burger Joint or Pasha’s for lunch with the kids. Grab a snack for the road at Peterbrooke Chocolatier then head north to the Beach for Eanie Meanie’s Halloween bash. From 4-6pm treat the kids with to balloon animals, face-painting, snacks and more.
- Sunday, weekend Halloween fun continues as Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Red Grammer brings his playful music to University of Miami’s Gusman Hall at 3pm. Alternately, head to Temple Beth Sholom from 3-6pm for a family fun day carnival featuring zippy rides, bounce houses, music with Ms. Ashlee and more. $15 for adults, $5 for children, $20 and $10 at the door. Or, head south to Baptist’s 12th annual children’s health day. From 1-4pm the free children’s health fair features healthy snacks, medical info, interactive activities and more.
