Sunny skies and 70s – it’s going to be a fab weekend with lots of reasons to head outside…

• Enter your munchkin in Miami’s most photogenic baby contest from 10am-6pm all weekend long at Aventura. Kids five and under are eligible for the national event benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network. Pick one (or all) of four categories (beautiful, comical, fashionable & precious), pack one outfit for each and let your munchkin model away. About 15 pics will be snapped per category and you’ll get a chance to view & select your favorite before judge’s and voter’s choice winners are chosen. $35 per category entry. • Friday night treat you & your better half to a night out courtesy of My Gym’s Parents Night Out. From 7-11pm drop the kids off for dinner and supervised play then make a mad dash to dinner, a movie or both (crazy talk!). Reservations required – call 305-285-9440.
• Saturday head south. Start the day with a butterfly walk through Deering Estate at 10am. Bring a picnic, stroll through the historic roads and idle away the morning. Next venture to Safer Kids & Homes for safety tips, a free car seat check and discounts from 10am to 2pm. Close out the afternoon with a birthday celebration at Eanie Meanie’s Second Birthday Bash. The SoBe kids shop celebrates with clowns, face painting and discounts.
• Sunday is all about celebrating. Start the morning with PJ Library as it hosts a 10:30am Purim-themed story time at Books & Books Coral Gables featuring interactive reading and crafts. Then bring the munchkins beachside to Temple Beth Shmuel’s second annual carnival stocked with games and snacks. Close out the weekend with competitions, music, classes and treats at Haulover Park’s kite festival from noon to 5pm.
