Who knew 70s & sunny could feel so good? Celebrate the season with a week of outdoor fun…
- Be a Beach Bum. Douse your munchkin in sun block, pack up some toys and snacks and head for your favorite beach. We’re partial to Crandon on Key Biscayne or Third Street on SoBe. The entertainment value of endless sand, a bucket and a shovel is priceless – and virtually guaranteed to buy you at least 20 minutes of US Weekly reading.
- Break for Breakfast. Treat your munchkin to breakfast on the town this Tuesday as IHOP celebrates National Free Pancake Day. Feast on a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes between 7-10am and donate to the Children’s Miracle Network.
- Go for the Gold. The Olympics are nearing their halfway point (we’ll miss you Bob Costas). Bring the fever home by creating an Olympian-inspired obstacle course (think cones and bouncy balls) or making your own gold medals. A bit too much effort? Pop some popcorn, snuggle under a blanket and have an Olympic couch potato party.
- Weekend Plan. Fun abounds this weekend as the South Beach Wine & Food Festival rolls into town. Hit up Fun & Fit as a Family Saturday or Sunday for interactive cooking demos, games and celeb chef mingling or go adults-only at the Grand Tasting tents. Or, get artsy at family day at the Bass Museum or sporty with a visit with the Harlem Globetrotters at the AA Arena.
