It’s an action-packed, festival-filled weekend…

• Friday night is family-friendly Gables night out. Dine al fresco at Miss Saigon or Spris as part of the monthly Giralda Under the Stars festival then enjoy art, conversation and live music at Gables Gallery Night.
• Saturday is festival day. Venture back to the Gables for live Latin & Jazz music, international bites, face painting and clowns at Carnaval on the Mile from 10am-midnight; head south to for exotic crafts, sports, cuisine and plants at the Asian Cultural Festival at Homestead’s Fruit & Spice Park from 10am-6pm; or enjoy a great book, music and character meet & greets at Surfside’s 4th annual Story Book Festival from 11am-2pm.
• Saturday night book a sitter and head to the movies courtesy of the annual Miami International Film Festival.
• Sunday treat train lovers to a Day Out with Thomas at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. The iconic steam engine chugs into town for two days of train rides, live music, bounce houses and meet and greets from 9am-5pm.
