It’s looking like another sunny South Florida week – time to get wet, dig out the craft supplies & venture down the rabbit hole…
- Splish & Splash. The 80s are back! Who would have thought a little sweat could feel this good? Store the sweaters and celebrate seasonal temps with a good splash. We’re outfitting our munchkins in SnapMe suits and heading for the backyard. The pool is great, but why not burn off some extra calories (and energy) with a romp around the yard courtesy of a beach ball sprinkler or classic slip n slide (hint: it’s just as fun as an adult).
- Get Crafty. Turns out March is National Craft Month (who knew?). Discover your craft style here (techie, hands-on or reuse & recycle) then find project inspiration here. We’re starting with coffee filter butterflies over breakfast (hint: swap paint for markers for less mess) and macaroni necklaces over lunch.
- Go Down the Rabbit Hole. Alice, the Queen of Hearts & the rest of the crew spring to life this week courtesy of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. The 3D film might not be appropriate for all munchkins (scary costumes, loud noises), but everyone can get in on the fun with a pop-up version of the classic and a Mad Hatter tea party – we’re thinking sippy cup “tea,” cucumber tea sandwiches and animal crackers.
- Weekend Plan. It’s looking like another festive weekend. Get your Irish on with live music, face painting and food aplenty at the Gables’ St. Patrick’s Day Festival or stop & smell the orchids – at Fairchild’s annual festival. Cap it all off a visit & reading with famed author Mo Willems.
