It’s looking like a festival, fairy-filled weekend…
- Decorate cupcakes, sprinkle fairy dust and enter a parade Saturday or Sunday at Fairchild Garden’s 18th annual international orchid festival. Munchkins will love decorating fairy wings with ribbons while mommies & daddies will love watching them march in the parade. Come home with wands, crowns and orchid souvenirs.
- Saturday head south to the falls for a Handy Manny Pit Stop at the Falls. Kids will meet and greet the Disney Channel favorite, color, decorate license plates and more.
- Alternately, get festive & channel your inner Irish Saturday at the Gables’ St Patrick’s Day festival. Load up on corned beef and cabbage while the kids enjoy Irish crafts, clowns and rock climbing. Linger a bit and stop by Books & Books Coral Gables at 4pm for a reading and book signing with author Mo Willems.
- Saturday night is parent’s night out. Venture to the Design District for cocktails and artist mingling over Gallery Night and stay in the hood for dinner – we’re partial to Mai Tardi, Michael’s (debuting its mobile food cart Sat night) and Grass.
- Sunday is Calle Ocho day. Grab the sunblock and sneakers, brace yourself for mass crowds and hit the streets.
