One last weekend in June – summer is in full swing…

• Kick off the weekend with a sunset visit to North Shore Park for a Loco Luau from 6-9pm. The free outdoor fiesta celebrates the official start of summer with Hawaiian-themed carnival rides, music and dancing.
• Alternately, make Friday parents night out. Bring the kids to Fun Club Kids for its first ever sleepover and enjoy a guilt-free adults-only evening. Parents can hit the town for dinner, drinks, dancing, movies – whatever your heart desires – while munchkins enjoy dinner, a movie, smores, a sleeping bag party and breakfast the next morning. Wake up Saturday morning refreshed, relaxed and ready to pick up your little one.
• Saturday is all about soccer as the US takes on Ghana in its first game of the second round of the 2010 World Cup. Come 2:30, secure a spot on the couch, flip on the TV and settle in for an hour of fiercely competitive, surprisingly addictive soccer. 2:30 is prime naptime, so we’re thinking some snuggling on the couch with the hubby.
• Sunday’s forecast calls for 92 degrees and a 60% change of rain, so we’re thinking it’s prime time to hang out indoors. Sleep in, breakfast in your pjs then venture to the movies, the mall or your favorite indoor refuge. Relax, recoup and brace yourself for the week ahead – vacation is almost here.
