Happy July 4th everyone!! A short week and lots of excuses to celebrate…

  • Camp Out. Tuesday morning, bring budding & established bookworms to the Gables or Bal Harbour for Camp Books & Books. This week’s session (11am at the Gables, 11:30 at BH) features Brain Quest Brain Fest! – older munchkins )five and up) can compete game-show style while little ones explore the books (i.e. pull everything off the shelves) and mommies enjoy an hour in the AC.
  • Seek Serenity. Thursday kicks off the third annual Miami Spa Month, which means two months of glorious, guilt-free spa-ing. Over 30 spas throughout the city are offering $99 treatments – we’re particularly excited about a Balinese massage at the Setai, a Be Young & Beautiful facial at the Standard and the Mind/Body Sampler at Exhale. Click here for a complete list of spas & treatments.
  • Get PatrioticJuly 4th is days away and we’ve got crafts, music & vacation on the brain. Start the fun early with a patriotic playlist (think Yankee Doodle, This Land is Your Land and My Country ‘Tis of Thee) and some July 4th themed coloring. Adventurous crafters can dabble inpatriotic pinwheels or star wands, both of which will be great props on Sunday for fireworks, parades, picnics & BBQs. Visit our calendar for a round-up of local events.
  • Weekend Plan. Three days of vacation bliss! Tour the galleries in the Gables, shop produce & knick knacks on Lincoln Roadpicnic, parade & BBQ to your hearts content. And, of course, enjoy lots & lots of fireworks.
