Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone had a great Fourth. Who’s psyched for a short week? Lots to do…
- I Scream, You Scream. Welcome to day 6 of National Ice Cream Month (we knew there had to be a reason to love July). Thanks to President Reagan for officially commemorating the frozen treat in 1984 and to La Marea at the Tides, Area 31 and dozens of other local outposts for celebrating. We’re digging into deliciousness at Whip N Dip, Walls and the Frieze.
- Trunk Shop. (sponsored listing) Gather your munchkins and your wallets this Friday as The Promenade at High Pines host a mom-centric trunk show from 2-8pm. Shop clothing, jewelry & accessories from Sporty Mommas, Girly Things, Jackie Garcia Jewelry and Hunting Season. We’ve got our eyes on Girly Things‘ tutus, fairy wings and wands – it’s a munchkin fairytale waiting to happen. Plan to linger a bit – light bites and cocktails (after 5) will be served. 7275 SW 55 Ave, July 9, 2-8pm.
- Go Mango Mad. Saturday kicks off Fairchild Garden’s 18th annual International Mango Festival, which means two days of interactive cooking demos, enticing mango tastings, arts, crafts and 10+ hours of munchkin meandering while parents relax. Insider tip – go early for minimal heat and maximum pre-nap exhaustion.
- Weekend Plan. Friday is only three days away! Hit History Miami for Family Fun Day, discover the Power of 10 at Jungle Island, get limber with free yoga at Kennedy Park and embrace the mango at Fairchild.
