The weekend is here! Bring on the fun…
- Trunk Shop. Gather your munchkins and your wallets this Friday as The Promenade at High Pines host a mom-centric trunk show from 2-8pm. Shop clothing, jewelry & accessories from Sporty Mommas, Girly Things, Jackie Garcia Jewelry and Hunting Season. We’ve got our eyes on Girly Things‘ tutus, fairy wings and wands – it’s a munchkin fairytale waiting to happen. Plan to linger a bit – light bites and cocktails (after 5) will be served. 7275 SW 55 Ave, July 9, 2-8pm.
- Go Mango Mad. Saturday morning kicks off Fairchild Garden’s 18th annual International Mango Festival. If you can bear the heat, it’s worth a visit to the Garden for interactive cooking demos, plant sales, tastings, arts, crafts & more kid-friendly fun. We suggest going in the morning for minimal heat and maximum pre-nap exhaustion.
- Gallery Hop. Book a sitter for Saturday night and head to the Design District for Gallery Night. We’re starting our evening with cocktails at Grass, moving onto some artistic meandering then capping it off with dinner & dessert tapas-style at Sra Martinez.
- Beat the Heat. Sunday’s forecast is 88 and rainy – we’re thinking a day indoors. Bring older munchkins to the movies for a Toy Story 3 screening. Or, pack you smallest stroller and head to Aventura Mall for some window shopping, romping around the Rainbow Valley Playground, food court snacking and a couple hours of air conditioned entertainment.
