Weekly Picks: July 25-29
Monday, July 25th, 2011Hello Monday – hope everyone had a great weekend…
- Tee Off. Looking for some new (albeit sweaty) summer fun? Lather your munchkins in sunscreen, pack some water & head to Palmetto Mini Golf. The course is open seven days a week from 10am to 8pm (9pm on Friday & Saturday) and is stocked with 18 holes of waterfalls, pools, foliage & munchkin-sized fun. Older kids will like sharpening their skills, little ones will love the pint-sized setting and parents will love the hour of entertainment. One caveat – call ahead to make sure the course isn’t reserved for a field trip or special event. Make a morning of it with brunch (or lunch) at nearby Lots of Lox Deli for old school deli deliciousness.
- Get Festive. Lots of fun happening in the Magic City this week. Tuesday treat your little ones to a Princess & Superheroes Disco Party at Café Bambini, Wednesday celebrate the grand opening of Sunkist Park Playground, Thursday head to MCM for Tale of Peter Rabbit stories & crafts in honor of Beatrix Potter’s birthday and Saturday get sporty at the Miami Soccer Festival in Kendall.
- Talk Back. Miami Munchkins is remodeling – based on your input. Thanks for all your feedback – we’re listening! Coming soon – a Friday weekend picks newsletter, the ability to add events to your Outlook, iCal & Google calendars, a directory of classes & a robust, searchable calendar. We’re still finalizing our plans – please add your thoughts to the mix by taking our 9-question survey. Want a sneak peak of the new Munchkin Fun action? Click here
- Weekend Plan. Is it the weekend yet? Go blue with the Smurfs, celebrate summer at Miami Intl Mall, have fun with food at the Gold Coast Rail Road Museum, treat your sweet tooth to cheesecake, have a dance party at the Arsht Center, Dine with Diego at Zoo Miami and play with shadow puppets in the Gables.
