Maternity Stores
A Pea in the Pod (Bal Harbour)
It’s not perfect, but this national chain is one of the best local options for maternity basics like jeans, capris, work clothes, etc. Staff alternates between helpful and less so and prices can skew high, but the selection is broad and changes regularly. Also a great place to buy nursing bras.
9700 Collins Avenue, 305-866-7044
American Apparel (Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, South Miami)
Not technically a maternity store, but a great option for inexpensive basics. Cotton tanks, skirts and dresses work year-round in Miami.

South Miami: 5855 Sunset Drive, 786-268-0531
Calypso (Bal Harbour)
Although technically not a maternity store, Calypso is a South Florida pregnant woman’s dream. Nearly half of the store’s collection is lightweight, flowy, elastic and free-floating – all great investments for nine months of expansion. We’re particularly enamored with their stretchy skirts that double as dresses.
9700 Collins Avenue, 305-866-8202
